The two meanings of Sampaguita and Ilaya become the starting point for this design. The Sampaguita influence appears in the color and form: a yellow tone inspired by sunlight on white petals, and white ruffles that mirror the flower’s natural softness and layered structure. Ilaya is reflected in the overall composition — lightweight, airy, and minimal in structure, designed to feel open rather than dense or heavy in visual presence.
The result is a piece that connects floral symbolism and landscape reference into wearable form; simple, refined, and grounded in Filipino natural and cultural imagery.
